orbitAdjust Game Privacy & Cookie Policy

Effective July 15, 2026

orbitAdjust is operated by Ian Venskus. This notice explains the information handled by the browser-based orbitAdjust game.

Scope

This policy applies to the orbitAdjust game, its worldwide high-score display, score-restoration codes and downloadable High Score Certificates. The company website and Campaign Simulator are covered by the general orbitAdjust Privacy & Cookie Policy.

Gameplay and high-score information

You choose a one- or two-character player mark. It may be initials, text or an emoji, so do not enter anything you want to keep private. Ordinary gameplay and intermediate scores remain in your browser. If the game believes your score may be a new worldwide high score, it sends your player mark and score to our server for validation. The server accepts it only if it still beats the official record, then records the creation date, game version and project status.

The current leader's player mark, score, game version and project status may be displayed publicly. After a score stops leading, its player mark and score may remain in the accessible history embedded in later downloadable or shared certificates. No account is created.

High Score Codes and certificates

If you enter a previous High Score Code or open a certificate QR link, the code is sent to our server so the matching official score can be verified and restored. A restore code is a bearer capability rather than a password or account. Anyone who has it may submit it to the game.

When a new High Score Certificate is created, the server generates an SVG and delivers it to your browser for download. The application does not retain that SVG file, but it does retain the underlying score record and historical backups. The certificate may contain the player mark, score, creation date, game version, a visual and accessible text history of accepted player marks and scores, and an encoded restoration link or QR code. Treat the certificate and code as shareable, not confidential.

Abuse prevention and server records

When a High Score Certificate is requested, the application processes your IP address and stores a cryptographic hash derived from it with request times to limit repeated submissions. The active rate-limit window is one minute. A stale hash may remain until a later score submission prunes it, and it is not used to track gameplay or activity across websites.

Our hosting infrastructure may also process standard request information such as IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, referring page, request time, response status and error details for delivery, security and diagnostics. A High Score Code placed in a URL may appear in those operational records.

Public display and retention

The master copies of accepted high-score records are kept in private server storage so the leaderboard and certificate-restoration system can operate. The public fields described above may also appear in the leaderboard and certificate histories. Historical snapshots are kept as private backups. These records currently have no fixed deletion date because removing an official record can prevent its certificate and restoration code from working.

You may request deletion of a stored record using the contact method below. We may need the associated certificate or restoration code to identify the correct record. Deletion may permanently invalidate that certificate and code.

Analytics, cookies and browser storage

On normal production game pages, orbitAdjust uses FullRes to understand aggregate site use and performance. Depending on the visit and interaction, FullRes may receive the page URL, referring page, browser and device information, viewport size, use and performance signals, and connection information including an IP address. orbitAdjust does not add a player mark, score or High Score Code to FullRes metadata or events.

FullRes states that it operates without cookies, cross-site tracking or persistent visitor identifiers. FullRes is not loaded on query-bearing game page requests, including certificate-restoration links, so a restoration value is not sent to analytics.

The game does not use cookies or browser storage to save gameplay, and orbitAdjust does not use analytics cookies or behavioral advertising cookies.

External services and certificate sharing

The game loads fonts from Google Fonts and uses FullRes on normal visits. These providers receive ordinary connection information needed to deliver their files or service. Footer links to LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Calendly do not take you to those services until you select them.

The current game does not connect to MetaMask or another wallet, a blockchain, Philips Hue or IFTTT. If you download, share or mint a certificate through an NFT marketplace, wallet, blockchain or another third-party service, that service's privacy policy and terms apply. orbitAdjust does not control that third-party use or receive wallet or marketplace transaction data from the game.

How information is used and shared

We use game information to operate the leaderboard and certificate system, restore verified scores, prevent abuse, secure and diagnose the service, understand aggregate performance and meet legal obligations. We use service providers only to host, protect, operate and measure the site.

orbitAdjust does not sell player records and does not share them for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the game, its users or our rights.

Children's privacy

The game is not directed to children under 13, and it does not ask for a name, email address or other direct contact information. If you believe a child has entered personal information as a player mark, contact us so we can review it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no website, file or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your own copy of a certificate you want to retain and do not treat its restoration code as a private account credential.

Questions, requests and changes

For privacy questions or requests, email ianvenskus@orbitadjust.com. Please describe the request and include the certificate or restoration code only if it is necessary to identify a record.

We may update this policy as the game changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. If we introduce a materially different use of cookies or personal information, we will update this notice before that use begins.
